Legal Requirements

It is a legal requirement to display the following information on your company stationery

    Sole traders

  • Your own name if different from the trading name
  • The business address
  • Invoices must show the VAT number (if applicable)
    Partnerships

  • The names of all partners
  • The address of the principal office
  • Invoices must state VAT registration number if applicable
    Limited companies

  • The name of the company
  • The country of registration
  • The company registration number
  • The address of the registered office
  • The address of the place of business (If different)
  • There is no need to list the names of the company directors, however, if you do ALL must be shown
  • Invoices must show at least the company name and VAT number (if applicable)
